The Barossa Experience
Wineries You'll Visit on Your Barossa Valley Tour
The Barossa Valley is one of the world's great wine regions, and it rewards those who explore it with a local guide. On this full-day small group tour, you'll travel through landscapes of extraordinary beauty, past historic German Lutheran settlements, and into the cellars of wineries that have shaped Australian wine culture for generations.
We visit 3 to 4 carefully chosen cellar doors, balancing iconic names with hidden gems. You'll taste world-class Shiraz, Grenache, Riesling, and more, guided by someone who genuinely loves this valley and wants you to leave knowing it as well as they do.
Our wineries will be showcasing the region's exceptional produce alongside the wines you've been discovering. With a maximum of 11 guests, every stop feels personal, never rushed, never crowded.
CP Tours and Charters has been crafting unforgettable South Australian experiences since 2003. Life on Tour
Where We Go
Barossa Wineries You'll Visit
The Barossa Valley is home to some of the world's oldest Shiraz vines, and our tour takes you directly to the cellar doors where these legendary wines are poured. Depending on the day, you'll visit a selection from some of the most celebrated names in Australian wine, including:
Langmeil Winery
Home to the Freedom 1843 Shiraz, grown from the oldest surviving Shiraz vines in the world. A must-visit for any serious wine lover.
Chateau Tanunda
One of the Barossa's grandest estates, built in 1890. The tasting room inside this iconic bluestone chateau is an experience in itself.
Rusden Wines
The home of Black Guts Shiraz. All wines are sourced from old vines grown in Vine Vale sand from the family's 40 acre vineyard. Rusden aims to make wines that harness the power of Barossa fruit, yet highlight the floral aromatics and spice characters so evident in wines produced from grapes grown in sandy soil.
Ubertas Wines
Welcome to Ubertas Wines in our new modern cellar door, with large picture windows overlooking our vineyards. In the summer, bring your picnic rug and local produce filled picnic and sit out on the lawns to enjoy. In the winter you can snuggle up on one of our leather couches in front of our big stone fireplace and warm your heart with a glass of Ubertas wine.
Boutique Family Wineries
We also love introducing guests to smaller, family-run estates where the winemaker often pours your tasting and shares the story behind every bottle.
Tanunda Clubhouse Lunch
At the midpoint of the day, we stop for a relaxed, included lunch at the Tanunda Clubhouse - a local favourite in the heart of the valley.
Please note: Specific wineries visited may vary depending on availability and seasonal schedules. Our guide selects the best combination of cellar doors each day to ensure you experience the very finest the Barossa has to offer. We always visit 3 to 4 wineries on every tour.

Expert Local Knowledge
Our guides were born and raised in South Australia. They know the Barossa not just as tourists but as locals - the hidden laneways, the winemakers worth meeting, and the stories behind the vines that no guidebook will ever tell you.
CP Tours and Charters is proudly Adelaide-based, operating since 2003 under the Captain Proud Paddle Boat Cruises family. Over two decades of guiding South Australians and visitors through the state's finest wine regions has given us an unmatched depth of knowledge and relationships with the cellar doors we visit.
